THE PROBLEM WITH MUSIC LISTS
They are just a slice of a very big pie and they are only useful if you already know who made them and understand and accept their tastes, biases and blind spots.
I happen to like them because nobody can listen to everything. By following some compilers I think are interesting ( shoot me if I ever use the word curators in this context) I get introduced to music I wouldn’t normally hear.
But let’s be honest here. I think ten years from now, this song will be the one most easily identified with 2011. For the cognitive dissonance alone, I think it’s fabulous.
